going against the flow

we have discovered something very interesting these last weeks as we have been booking places for our wedding, buying rings etc. we have been asked on numerous occasions for our address, to which we repy: mine or his? its usually met with a confused look and then: you don't live together? no, we aren't married yet. oh, more confused looks.
it would appear that we are not the norm anymore. i suppose it does seem odd in today's society that we choose to wait until we are married to live together. and i'm sure some would even question why, if we are planning to get married anyway.
we choose to follow God's example for marriage. to take this time to develop our relationship, to prepare for our marriage, to wait.
no, its not easy. but for us, it is worth the wait. how wonderful it will be to stand before God and our family and friends, and pledge our love for each other; to make a covenant with God and ourselves to live together as husband and wife - as He intended.

that is so awesome. taking that step and making that commitment - in His way, His time.

I appreciate that he was there to pray with us, along with you and greg, before the start of the service this morning. It speaks volumes to me that he supports you in your ministry, to this place that God has called you. :)
