this summer/fall i am officiating at two weddings: vickie & barry and jil & brander. today i've been working on the order of service etc for both weddings - vows, pledges, exchaning rings etc. with my upcoming marriage fast (but not fast enough!) approaching, i am reading all this stuff with new eyes, realizing the seriousness of the commitment couples need to make to each other.
its a commitment to love unconditionally - not just in the good times, the joyful times, the times when feelings of love are strong - but also in the bad times, the stressful times, the times when feelings are not as strong.
if you are married, i would encourage you to re-visit your vows to each other. say them out loud to each other, and reconfirm your commitment to love unconditionally. consider deeply what you are saying.
