but i'm getting a lot of questions of what 'wedding' disasters happened on February 10th. it seems most people have horror stories to tell of some mishap that occured.
i would say the day was perfect. but for those who really want to know the scoop - here it is: Moores sent the wrong shirt for one of the groomsmen and it was too late to exchange it (they offered to send the right one in a different color!!); the wedding cake was slightly leaning; the hotel ran out of punch; and the DJ (who said 'it must be perfect') didn't play all the music i wanted.
but other than that - it was an amazing day. the grandkids all performed well; no one fainted (except for my slight, ok huge, panic attack before the ceremony! my daughters were extremely helpful, saying things like 'get a grip', 'suck it up princess', 'no, you don't have to pee you just think you do' - this comment because they didn't want to take me to the bathroom, the dress was so big it took several of them to hold it up so i could pee!
i calmed down when carolyn peeked into the ceremony and saw Terry walk in. her comment - "wow, Terry looks hot!" - i was good to go after that.

oh yeah - and just before we came downstairs, i lost my lipstick. six of us searched the suite for a good 15 minutes and could not find it anywhere!!! so i had to use someone else's. then when terry and i went up to the suite after the reception, there it was!! how six people could miss seeing it is beyond me!!!
I must say though that it was a perfect day. Thanks for letting my little family witness your family getting bigger. :)
what about when your wedding coordinator almost forgot the rings? And you had to remind her just before you walked down the aisle?? And then I (oops - I mean, your coordinator) only came up with one ring, not two?? Thankfully all that planning ahead paid off, and there was the second ring waiting for me right where it should have been :)

let me start by saying, that your wedding was one of the most beautiful I have ever attended (beside Darin's and mine hehe). Not just all the decor and ambiance, which was exquisite, but the genuine God centered love you and Terry share. To see Greg smiling with true happiness for his friends as they start out their journey together. To see your family surround you and lift you up.
ALL of it was beautiful. (as were you!!)
Thank you for honoring me with being able to share in that.
That all being said, weddings can be so darn stressful, particularily for the bride. I'm glad you able to actually enjoy the experience. I always feel bad for brides who are so stressed out they don't get to experience the joy and celebration that they should be feeling.
So how utterly exhausted were you at the end of the night? I remember that after our wedding, it was only 11:00pm ish when we retired to our suite, and we sat and talked for an hour, absolutely exhausted, and shared all our favorite parts of the day with each other. We joked about being "too" tired **wink**. It was an awesome time of connecting after a long and busy and beautiful day.
thanks Shari, i'm glad you were able to come! yes, i did enjoy the day very much. and yes, i was exhausted by the time we left the reception. we too sat on the couch and talked abit - pulled all the bobby pins out of my hair! must have replayed the whole day over and over a hundred times in my head. it seemed to go so fast.
