this last sunday as i was standing backstage i was overcome with emotion. i looked out over the crowd as we were all worshiping God and i realized how blessed i am to be part of this church family. for last eleven years, they have supported me: when i was first finding my confidence in being a pastor; they allowed me to spread my wings and try new things like missions trips; they shared confidences with me as we prayed together; when this very private person found her life crashing down around her they shared in the sorrow and in the grieving and then in the healing. and last year when i started spending time with Terry, they celebrated in the friendship that was developing - some of them knew what was really going on before i did!!!
so it was perfect that he would propose in front of them, my church family, so that they could share in the moment with us.
it was a very emotional sunday for me. i am grateful for such a loving church family.
and this saturday, we will say our vows before a couple of hundred family and friends.
thank you NH. for being such an awesome family of believers.... you are the best!

warning; weddings always make me cry and this one especially is going to bring them on. Wonderful tears of joy!
me too Sue! Me too. Heck we need to break out a box of kleenex!!
maybe i should put some out at the ends of the aisles??!!??
YES!! Good idea!! Or would that give you more to have to do?? Get little kleenex packs and string them to the backs of the chairs in front or underneath them. ;) Dang! I guess I won't have a diaper bag gotta get a purse big enough to put a pack of kleenex in it
